My promises to my audience
My primary focus is Google Ads Coaching and training. To maintain the trust I’ve built with my audience of PPC practitioners, here are the 5 promises I make to them when accepting sponsored content opportunities.
I will only post sponsored content for a brand if I have personally used the product and seen good results, or if one of my clients has used the product and I have witnessed their good results first-hand. Sponsored content is not an opportunity for me to try something out and see what I think; it’s an opportunity, as with all my content, to share proven strategies, tactics and tools with you.
I will only accept 2 sponsored posts per month on LinkedIn, and 1 sponsored video per month on YouTube. This ensures that more than 90% of the content I share with you is my own organic content that you follow me for, and the rest is still 100% created by me and aligns with my values - while highlighting a sponsor. Similarly, I will accept 1 sponsor per issue of The Insider, and 1 sponsor per PPC Zone event.
I will disclose all sponsored content as sponsored content - in plain English! For example, “This issue of The Insider is sponsored by [x].”
I will disclose all affiliate links as affiliate links - in the content itself, the comments, or both. For example, “Start your free trial at [link] [affiliate link]”
I will be fairly compensated for sponsored content. Your attention, and your trust in me, are immensely valuable. If I’m directing your attention and trust to a brand, they must demonstrate that they recognize that value. While the contracts I sign with brands usually don’t allow me to share specifics, expect that there are at least four figures exchanging hands with each brand partnership.
